Mickey and Davy success in the mid 70s in the supergroup of Dolenz, Jones Boyce & Hart.

Mike Nesmith put out a number of solo albums and did a lot in country music and experimental music. Notably Elephant Parts a long form production that included music videos, comedy routines and absurdity. It also was the source for “Cruisin’” which was a very frequently aired video on MTV all the way into early 1983. Hulk Hogan starred in this video and besides Da Ya Think Im Sexy and Bette Davis Eyes it's the first video i remember seeing, on a Betamax copy of Elephant Parts in 1982!!

If you watch talk shows and live in Concert tv shows from the 1970s you can catch a performance of ths group. They appeared on their own special, American Bandstand, and Don Kirshners Rock Concert.

The Monkees reformed briefly in the late 80s and rode a renewed wave of Monkee Mania- their show was on every day in syndication- and their fans from the 60s and new fans crowded to see them.

Peter Tork also had a number of solo albums and had bands like The Peter Tork Project. He had a solo album in 1994 called Stanger Things Have Happened .

They had a single “I remember the Feeling” that Mickey sang with a lot of gusto.

Dolenz, Jones and Tork released a new album Pool It in 1987 which got some play on classic rock radio as well as the video on MTV, which was also showing old Monkees episodes.

Mickey was also one of the original Hollywood Vampires, a bunch of musicians who were drinking buddies, including notably Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper , Keith Moon, Ringo Starr and John Lennon.

Davy could be already be seen on TV- both first run and in syndication- in one of the best Brady Bunch episodes , where he meets Marcia Brady.
